About Us

The Save A Life team

Mark and Bob have worked together in the leisure industry for many years. This includes being Trainer Assessors for the RLSS and Mark with his Nuco qualification.

Mark has worked in Leisure for over 10 years, including as a Lifeguard, Swimming Instructor, Class Instructor, Trainer Assessor for a local leisure contract in North Devon.

Bob has worked in many different leisure facilities both in North Devon and Mid Devon, with varying roles.

We have come together to provide a training environment to enable people to save lives, covering a much wider area.

Bob wants to pass vital information he has used over many years, inspiring the next generation of life savers.

Mark is aiming to progress from swim teaching with a bit of training to a more balanced combination of the two since his courses have proven so popular and successful.

With two of us, we can be more flexible and will try our best to suit your needs with more days, times and locations available.

Meet Mark

I have been in the fitness industry for many years. I started in the leisure industry as a lifeguard - this involved completing the National Pool Lifeguard Qualification, which we offer here at S.A.L.T.

I Completed a Foundation degree with the University of St. Mark's and St John's, Plymouth, and before that completed the BTEC Sports Coaching and Fitness course at Exeter College.

I've been a tutor since 2018 starting with the NPLQ and I'm now branching out to first aid courses. Teaching courses makes me realise how lucky I am to be able to pass so many skills on to people which could save a life!

I enjoy delivering courses, passing on vital information to the candidates, while making the session light and fun!
